Nebbiolo Sommet, Les Crêtes - 2019

Nebbiolo, present in the southern alluvial valley of glacial origin, takes us back to the origins of winegrowing in the Aosta Valley. This wine was born from the desire to vinify and enhance a traditional variety; the result is a wine of great character and refinement, an expression of these mountain soils. Summit means high, with a view to the mountains. Veronelli ?: 91/100 ; Doctor Wine ?: 90/100 ; Luca Maroni ?: 92/100 ; Wine Spectator ?: 90/100

Domain
The Domaine des Crêtes was founded in 1989 in Aymavilles by the charismatic Costantino Charrère, who is in a way the "father" of all the great Valle d'Aostan winegrowers. It is now run by his daughters, who represent the fifth generation of this family, which has always been involved in agricultural production in the most poly-cultural sense of the word. The vineyard covers 25 hectares along the Dora Baltea, which crosses the region like the Rhone in Valais, in the communes of St-Pierre, Aymavilles, Gressan, Sarre, Aosta and St-Christophe. It is unanimously the most (re-)known Valle d'Aostan domain in the world and we import it exclusively for Switzerland.
