Frédéric Hegg’s aptly named Gruyre is something of an archetype of the fine Dézaley: a seductive nose of almond, aniseed and exotic fruit, followed by a round, suave palate that is generous but not heavy. Thanks to its finesse and fresh length, the wine never tilts towards heaviness. A pleasure that even the Cistercians wouldn’t have shied away from!
